Quality
The KII Pod is the latest restricted DL vape from SMPO. It’s based heavily on the original KI Pod that was released in early 2020. It looks and functions much like the previous rendition but with some noticeable differences. This includes improved flavor, cloud production, and also a new price tag. As we’ve come to expect from SMPO, the device boasts a clean layout and is aesthetically pleasing. Keep reading to find out how it compares to its predecessor.
SMPO is a boutique vape company that concentrates its efforts on the new vaper market. Its back catalog consists of predominantly pod-based systems that include the Yoofun Pod. SMPO devices are designed by Nexlabs LTD in the UK and then manufactured out of China. This is a great way to conduct business because it lowers overheads. These savings are then usually passed onto the consumer; which this time round has happened.
Pod
The SMPO KII Pod is an extremely pocket-friendly device. It’s roughly the size of a candy bar, measuring in at a minuscule 83.5mm’s by 32.2mm’s by 13.8mm’s. This is ideal for people that enjoy vaping on the go. It’s durable, relatively lightweight, and also feels pretty solid in hand. The main chassis is made from strong zinc alloy. Furthermore, it contains a decently sized 650mAh internal battery that can output 10 to 15 watts of power.
The SMPO KII Pod features a small PCTG cartridge that can hold 1.8ml of eliquid. It can be removed for easy refilling and replacement. The cartridge has seen some big improvements. This includes a new dual wire technology that can output 0.8ohms of resistance. The flavor, as a result, is much better and it can produce fairly big clouds for the device’s size.
The SMPO KII Pod is designed to be used with nicotine salts, but you can use high mg freebase nicotine. It’s super simple to operate thanks to the inhale activation mechanism. Just breath in and the device will fire. It has no buttons or settings to fiddle about with. When the battery life is depleted, just connect your MicroUSB cable to the charging port and wait 45 minutes for a full charge. It would have been nice to see a modern USB-C port for even faster charging.
Price
The SMPO KII Pod is not currently available to buy online. The official SMPO website has its MSRP listed as $11.99 USD. This is so much cheaper than the previous version which was retailing for $39 USD. It’s now much more affordable for vapers to try out the SMPO brand. If you’re looking for a no-fuss AIO pod, check out the SMPO KII Pod. It should be released soon on your favorite online vendor website.
Packaging
The SMPO KII Pod comes in a variety of colors. This includes dark knight, forest green, midnight blue, and also smoky rose. I like how vivid the colors are and the unquie pattern. The finish this time round is matte. As a result, it’s no longer a fingerprint magnet like the KI Pod was. They’ve also done a great job on the packaging design. It looks luxurious and features minimal branding. Inside you’ll find your SMPO KII Pod, MicroUSB charging cable, and also a user manual.
