The Vaporesso TARGET PM80 SE Pod Mod Kit is without a doubt one of the most anticipated hybrid style products to be released in 2020. It not only introduces the ability to use an external 18650 battery, but also boasts a more streamlined body, optimized digital display, and inventive airflow control option. But how does it compare to the original TARGET PM80 Pod Mod? Keep reading to find out.

Vaporesso is a very popular vape manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. They’ve been killing the pod game this year with releases like the XTRA 16W Pod and also OSMALL Pod. Vaporesso has set a very high bar for itself in regards to design, development, and sales. Each and every one of its products oozes quality and fulfills a particular demand in the vaping market. Be it MTL, DTL, low, and also high powered starter kits.

The Vaporesso TARGET PM80 SE measures in at a rather slim 121.3mm’s by 24.8mm’s by 33.8mm’s. It feels much more sleek and compact in the hand compared to the original.  It’s also still super lightweight; even with a single 18650 battery installed. The quality zinc-alloy construction keeps the device sturdy and durable. It can output an impressive 5 to 80 watts and fires within 0.001 seconds.

The front face features an intuitive fire button, crystal clear 0.91″ inch TFT display screen, and two wattage adjustment buttons. The TARGET PM80 SE is so easy to use thanks to the upgraded Axon chipset. It can automatically and very accurately set your wattage based on the coil installed. It will even prompt you with a message if you try and go beyond the coils recommended power range. This feature can be turned off.

I experinced no battery rattle and the bottom-hinged door worked effortlessly. I did though notice the orientation was a little unorthodox. The positive side is installed on the opposite side of the battery vents. The main chassis is attached to the cartridge section via strong magnets. It held the two pieces together and I had no problems when needing to detach them. The drip tip is still unfortunately not detachable.

The TARGET PM80 SE comes with a 4ml refillable cartridge that uses the same bottom fill system as previous models. I haven’t experinced any leaks. The airflow was a little on the loose side, but thankfully Vaporesso has included some handy silicone plugs for you to dial it in. It also comes with two plug ‘n’ play coils that include a 0.2ohm GTX and 0.3ohm GTX. Both performed well. The flavor and clouds were superb!

Price

The TARGET PM80 SE is currently available to buy right now. The best price I could find online was $34.90 USD from Vapesourcing. Make sure to use our exclusive 12% off coupon code ‘WWM12’ at checkout. I think this is a great asking price for what you’re getting. Furthermore, you have lots of different resistance coils to choose from; which are also affordable. Simplicity is the key for a device like this and I think Vaporesso has nailed it.

Packaging

The TARGET PM80 SE is currently available in a handful of aesthetically pleasing colored patterns. This includes silver, brown, blue, black, green, and also red. The fit and finish of each device are flawless. The packaging is also quite nice. It’s clean, uncluttered, and features easily digestible information. Inside you’ll find your TARGET PM80 SE, 2 x cartridges, 2 x coils, 2 x silicone airflow plugs, MicroUSB charging cable, and also a user manual.
